Contact Us Today! If your lips are the frame and your smile is the picture, then your gums are the matte around the picture. Irregularity of the visible gum contours is actually more distracting than irregularity of the teeth.
Gum re-contouring may be recommended prior to placement of restorations, such as veneers, to improve the result. It usually suggested for the following problems:
- Too much gum showing (gummy smile)
- Gum line does not match on both sides
- Gum line is not appropriate on central incisors vs lateral incisors vs cuspids.
There are occasions when there is not enough gum on one or more individual teeth. This is especially true when there is root exposure. In this situation, you may be referred to a specialist for root coverage with a graft.
It was great. Each staff member greeted me and they walked me through the whole office. I highly recommend Studio Dentistry. They are great!!
