Contact Us Today!Internal bleaching can be an effective treatment for discolored teeth that have had root canal treatment. Most of the situations where internal bleaching is appropriate are on single front teeth that have suffered traumatic injury. The injury causes a release of blood pigment (inside the tooth) that stains the tooth dark grey or brown.
Access is made to the chamber inside the tooth through the back side of the tooth. An internal bleaching agent is sealed into the tooth for several days. If the desired effect is achieved, the tooth can then be restored. If more bleaching is desired, the solution is replaced and the opening is resealed.
Internal bleaching may be desirable even in situations where a veneer or all-ceramic crown is to be placed, since the dark tooth color would show through the restoration, giving an unacceptable result.
It was great. Each staff member greeted me and they walked me through the whole office. I highly recommend Studio Dentistry. They are great!!
